You Learn Something New Everyday

I have come across some crazy information on life’s journey. Here’s a few neat things to know:

  • The story of Chuck Taylors- In 1918, a highschool basketball player by the name of Chuck Taylor began wearing hightop converse all-stars. He was a good player and the shoe soon became known as Chuck Taylors.
  • Didactic – Designed or intended to teach; intended to convey instruction and information as well as pleasure and entertainment; making moral observations
  • LED stands for Light Emitting Diode.
  • In the early French version of Cinderella her shoes were made of squirrel fur, which is “vair” in French. During translation “Vair” was mistaken for “verre” which means glass. Hence, Cinderella and her glass slipper!
