Gallery Cafe – Batesville, IN

This small sandwich shop is worth the hunt! Some of the best sandwiches I have ever had at their rock bottom prices. They have a very small lot and a fairly small indoor seating area. If you go at lunch time be prepared for the crowd. They have very limited hours. They are not open on the weekends. They close daily at 2:30pm. I thought this was crazy but I understand it. They do all their business at lunch rush.

When you visit I suggest the turkey and Swiss on marbled rye. It was my favorite. Their sandwiches come with lettuce, tomato, and a pickle on the side. They sell drinks and chips if you want to make it a meal. They also make a decent gyro. This is one of those deli’s with a counter into the kitchen that you yell your order over. The menu is on a chalk board. They do have proper sides but they change daily. Their ever changing menu is part of my delight with this place.

If you are ever in the area on a weekday stop here for lunch!
